| Sensitive skin has different signs and symptoms. Some may feel tingling and tight. Others react easily to products and procedures. It is often a marker for other skin conditions. For example, skin that is sensitive as a result of aesthetic or dermatological procedures such as shaving, waxing, retina use, or laser; skin allergies and rosacea are also examples of skin sensitivities. Try to avoid extreme temperatures, hot or cold, even in cleansing and showering. Don't overstimulate the skin with massage, rubbing or overcleansing. Avoid hot and spicy foods, alcohol and smoking. These affect the dilation and constriction of the capillary walls and will worsen sensitivity. |
